Sewing Room Organization
Project Description
The home owner had moved into a new home and asked me to set up her sewing room.

Solutions
We repurposed the homeowner's old dining room furniture. The dining table now serves as her sewing table.
An inexpensive plastic drawer unit fits perfectly under the table and holds pre-cut fabrics and the rolling Ikea unit holds frequently used sewing supplies.
Solutions
The homeowner had the ironing board/fabric storage unit custom built from an Ikea bookcase which was strategically placed by her sewing and cutting tools area. Fabric is folded and sorted for easy visual access.
I wish I had room for one of these in my sewing room!
Solutions
The dining room credenza is tucked in the corner and is used to store fabric and sewing supplies. Cutting tools, cutting mat and rulers are all within easy reach of each other.
The result is a spacious, bright and very functional sewing room that cleverly incorporates an old dining room set.

MAY YOUR BOBBIN ALWAYS BE FULL

Solutions
The clothes hanging rod was removed from the closet so that the China Cabinet could be tucked inside. Sewing books and other supplies are stored on the shelves and the lower cabinets house gift wrapping supplies for easy access when needed. More fabric is stored on the top closet shelf.
